One man’s road to the 70.3 and beyond.
I started this blog to chronicle my journey over the next year or so to the Oceanside 70.3 (or half ironman for those unfamiliar with the lingo). My first post goes into quite a bit of detail about who I am and why this will end up being an interesting journey over the next year (I wasn’t adept enough at this whole blog thing to realize that I probably should have made that first post my “about” page).
This blog will not be a chronicle of my training on a daily basis. If I do bring up training, it will be simply to talk about challenges I’ve run into, new methods I’ve discovered and other useful information for beginner triathletes. Additionally, when I run across helpful advice, links or other useful information, I’ll use this blog to pass it on to anyone that’s actually reading this blog.
I’m going to try to keep it light and informative and if anyone would like to reach me for any reason, please feel free to post it in the comments area or send me an email.
It should be a great year. I know that if I stick with this training program for a year, triathlon will be a part of my life for many years to come. I’m enjoying it so far…now I just have to keep it up.
