23 weeks (or so) till my first triathlon

My first event is set: the olympic distance, OC Triathlon in late September.  This is the inaugural race for this event, so I thought it was only fitting that I’d make it my first triathlon.  The event is an olympic distance race and is about 23 weeks out, so it’s right about at the mid-way point between now and the Oceanside 70.3 that I’ll be doing in March.  

This event isn’t going to change my training plans at all.  Rather, I think it will simply encourage me to keep up with my training this summer since the 70.3 is so far out.  The event is set in a beautiful area and should be a good time.
